Hi again
Another great tour of Fraser Island magical attractions and full on 4×4 driving with Nomads Fraser Island Tours.
Day 1
On our way to the eastern beach, visited Central Station. All walked along Woolgoolba creek board walk to the hollow tree for a photo .

The next destination was a walk to Lake Wabby with the sighting of a Lace Monitor & a Kookaburra. The swim there was refreshing with Cat Fish curious as to who was in their waters. On the return walk I overheard one person say that this has already filled my expectation of what I was hoping to see & it’s only half way through the first day. After Dinner a couple of Fraser Island natives visited us. A very large Python & 2 Dingos roaming for food.
Day 2
Nature alarm started to chime at dawn with the birds singing. After breakfast we departed Kgari camp and all headed to the Maheno Ship Wreck. All were then instructed to hang on for some extreme driving in soft deep sand After a bogged 4×4 workout a refreshing swim was needed at Champagne Pools. Then for the return journey to camp the conditions were even more difficult as the sand dried in the hot sun.
That night it was Barbara’s Birthday BBQ feast. Steak sausages & pasta with salad. After dinner the games were continuing (that’s mine) losers had to either star jump or push ups every time someone said the words ‘That’s mine’. Troy also dropped in to the camp to play some Didgeridoo & all had a giggle at others trying to play. This was a great end to a great day.
Day 3
Breakfast then pack the 4×4 for departure .Travelled back along the beach to Eurong then up the rough inland tracks through the forest to Lake Birrabeen where relaxation on the white sand and a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water then the red green & blue MORPH’S appeared for a refreshing dip in the Lake before heading back to Woolgoolba creek for the barge ride back to Hervey Bay .
See you soon at Fraser Island where the attractions are MAGICAL and the DRIVING’S BETTER THAN A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE.
